Day 14, Midsomer Norton to Bath. It's my birthday and in the words of the great John Mountain; We have arrived in Bath and there is about the place a style and elegance to which I am drawn by breeding, temperament & inclination. Moreover, as evidenced by the hundreds of memorial plaques lining the abbey walls, no-one who ever lived here was anything other than sweetness & light, generous to a fault, gifted, valiant, terribly well connected, never short of a shilling and deeply mourned on departing this life. These are my people, I feel at home among them. Please send a fiver out of the till.
Day 15, Bath to Tormorton. Five becomes three as we welcome new driver Jacqueline but say goodbye to John (Yorkshireman, Head Coach & man of much wit ), Anita (Pace Setter) & Ernie (Trend Setter).
Day 16, Tormarton to Dursley. 253 miles done ~ 800 to go. This is Layla ~ she ate my camping mattress
Day 17, Dursley to Painswick. With my little girls for 2 nights ~ wonderful!
